This semester my classmate and I went to Foxdale Village with our teacher Ruth. It was a great experience to me to meet and interview an American woman. I thought it would be difficult to talk with senior people whose native language is not the language you have as a mother tongue. In fact, I felt so happy when I talked to the woman I had interviewed whose name is Bube. We spent the time asking each other about everything in our life. I am glad to meet woman how understand the new generation life style. I hope every student who is going to go to Foxdale village or trip to similar center to get the advantages of being in America and speaking with native speaker. There I asked Bube many questions and we spent a lot of time talking about international students.
In 1940 when Bube went to special college that teach only religion for that reason she did not meet international student from Middle East. Although she met a lot of international students like her husband who is from German, she did not meet anyone Arabic or from Asia. She says," I did not meet Arabic people until I moved to State College 10 years ago" (Bube). When she moved to Foxdale Village, she started to meet many students who are from different country.
According to Deb Haught there were 11,000 students in University Park in in 1969 and 453 of 11,000 students were international. On the other hand, these days there are more than 600 Saudi students according to Saudi association.  It was a hard job looking for Arabic club in the past a few Decades. According to year book for 1983 there was as Arabic club in Penn State University and the responsible of that club was Hashem Abdullah, but now every Arabic country has its own club.

Happier ( last part )

The last part I read in the book " Happier " was about goals and dreams. dreams is something we have to set goals to achieve our dreams. In order to be happy, we should have goal for every single day. we shouldn't repeat our days. we should change our routine.

Foxdale

When I was In level 3 in The IECP, my classmate and  I went to kindergarten with my teacher Ruth. It was a good experience to know how American teach their children. Although we have some difficulty to deal with children, we enjoyed meeting them. This week on Monday we went to Foxdale village with  the same teacher. It was a great experience  to me to meet and interview an American woman. I thought it would be difficult to talk with senior people whose native language is not the language you have as a mother tongue. In fact, I felt so happy when I talked to the woman I had interviewed whose name is Bube. We spent the time asking each other about every thing in our life. Chapter 5 part A of happier

While I was reading in chapter 5 I had too many questions.  I am wondering if there is a special age that make people happier? when people start to think how they could make themselves happy? we have to set a goal for our life to get happiness but what kind of goals should we have? what kind of goal that could make us happy?

My Reaction to the Quote

Collins writes " It is worth all the sleepless nights wondering how I am going to balance our deficits to see the glow in [his] eyes that will one day light the world."(Happiness, P 52)   We mentioned that before about how to be happy and we said that we have to have a goal to achieve in our life to get happiness. When I read this quote I realized that we have to think about obstacles in our life in our free time to solve them even if we suffer from lack of sleep some times. I believe that the pine of one night is better than the pine of the rest of our life. When we do not sleep one night, that can help us in the rest of our life.

my reaction

In the book that I have been reading " Happier " I read some interesting views and Ideas. We all know it is important to grow in good environment if we want to have great future. I could not remove the smile that in my face when I read that some schools try to help students who have social problems and family issue in order to give the students appropriate future. I faced hard question while I was reading. they ask, which do you  prefer have a conversation with friend or $ one million.
I believe that we will enjoy our time with friend even if we don't have $ 1 million. On the other hand, money with out friend doesn't mean anything to me.

Happiness

My reaction today about the book that I have read is so is that there is a relentless loop between happiness and success. In fact, I realized that happiness lead to success and success lead to happiness but we have to keep in mine that we have to be optimistic in our work and every day life in order to get the happiness. Believe it or not we have to experience sadness to feel and understand the happiness because we couldn't feel the happiness if we  were happy all the time.
